Conservatives like porn more than anybody
This is a very intriguing study. It found that conservatives are the biggest consumers of porn! It discovered these statistics by utilizing porn site subscription purchases compared to states/cities purchased in and how conservative those states are. Fairly broad assumptions, but definitely points to something hypocritical! no surprise...

anti-Semitism, Catholic Church, Evangelicals, Military
This movie does a good job of covering the history of the rise of the Catholic Church and its participation in anti-Semitism and collaboration with world powers. It goes on to link that to present day Evangelicals in the U.S. and how they are using political tactics to push their agenda. It documents a pact between the New Life Church and the Air Force - clearly illustrating the importance of the separation of church and state.
There are so many people I know that could be "educated" by this film...to few people pay attention to history anymore.

War is insane...
It is high time we put the "kebosh" on any country that perpetuates violence and killing. U.S., Israel...
The effects/results are so horrible and counter-productive to life and peace...maddening! I would love to take all these Americans that believe in killing (war/terrorism supporters) and throw them in some of these middle east situations. Just to give them a little damn perspective from their easy ignorant lives.

Israel used these weapons in Gaza:
"Flechette shells contain several thousand razor-sharp, nail-like metal darts, each about 4cm long.
The shells explode in the air scattering the darts over the surrounding area - in a cone-shaped pattern 300m long and 90m wide, according to Human Rights Watch."

Watch out for Israel...Netanyahu chosen
Religion (close-minded sub-culture) is still too prominent in influencing (or brainwashing) people into hypocritical and endless cycles that only serve to feed the problems of this world.

"On Iran, Mr Netanyahu returned to a key campaign theme, suggesting that Tehran had emerged as Israel's greatest security threat."
"Mr Netanyahu will have a real job on his hands - either to persuade Ms Livni to join his government, or to reconcile the differences among the various factions on the right. Minutes before the news came out that the Likud leader would be asked to form a government, Ms Livni said what was being proposed was a government "without political vision, a government with no values".
"I will not be a pawn in a government that would be against our ideals," she said.
One of the main points of contention between the two parties is how to handle the Palestinian territories.
Ms Livni favours more talks and the creation of a separate state for the Palestinians.
Mr Netanyahu says he does not want Israel to rule the Palestinians, but says they should not be allowed things he considers a threat to Israeli security, such as an army, or control of airspace or the Jordan Valley.
Mr Netanyahu's position was bolstered on Thursday when the far-right Yisrael Beiteinu party, which favours tightening the Israeli blockade on Gaza, said it wanted him to be prime minister."
------
Mr. Netanyahu represents the old failed ideals and political BS easily recognized in what he says. Ms. Livini and her group are going to have a serious struggle on their hands. I just hope they can maintain some sanity and influence the decisions of this country..keep Israel from starting WWIII.

Keep an eye on Israel's leadership
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090211/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_israel_politics
The leadership in Israel will determine how they will deal with the Arab world and either help to smooth over relations or cause more conflict. Especially with Iran.

Phelps smokes up!
http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/US_swimmer_Phelps_suspended_over_'pot_pipe'?curid=120706
Ha, this is so ridiculous. Just because of the fact that marijuana has such an unfortunate bad rep in "high society" .. heh. Then again, it is a matter of mindset. Take the legal drugs for example. Let us find out how many people are abusing their legal drugs and take pictures of them downing pills and get them suspended.
The higher intelligences laugh at the absurd actions of constructed society. This is one very good reason why i would not want to be popular or have public attention. You have to live by unrealistic standards and be forced to operate under others' illogical ways.

My guy, Obama - get rid of nuclear weapons!
President Obama Seeks Russia Deal to Slash Nuclear Weapons
"President Obama will convene the most ambitious arms reduction talks with Russia for a generation, aiming to slash each country's stockpile of nuclear weapons by 80 per cent. The radical treaty would cut the number of nuclear warheads to 1,000 each."

Obama sets executive pay limit (500,000) for bailout money receivers
This is long overdue. Should have happened with the first bailout. Where did that get us? nowhere.

My Rant: What is wrong with people who do not believe in "sharing the wealth". These people = greedy, unempathetic, self-centered, lonely, irresponsible, unintelligent (full intelligence), leeches, etc.
I am a total believer in being rewarded for hard work, but there is a point where it creates unnecessary inequality and an unbalanced society. Why is this? Money. The definition of "hard work." Our reward system (money based) is fraught with faults. "Hard work" by definition is completely skewed in this society. NO ETHICS! Money ... or say a single currency/reward system ... does not work. There needs to be multiple "currencies", multiple ways of being rewarded for what one does in life. Multiple reward systems that are NOT CONTROLLED by a single entity. Incorporating ethics is the first step toward a better system. Thankfully, there are many businesses that are adopting this model. Honestly, I think it is business (world business at that) that will change humanity globally, NOT any government or country or leader. Businesses run by groups of people based on ethics.
I would love to see some of these rich CEO types have everything stripped away and try and live like the average person...talk about gaining some perspective.
The capitalist system as we know it...is finished. I think enough people are aware now of how when you let money (wall street, etc.) make all the decisions it will result in GREAT inequality which is unsustainable and of course only benefits the top. Oh, these people at the "top"...these are society's "hard workers" making all the bad, self-centered decisions that ignore the needs of the rest of society.
Unchecked technology is a problem. However, we have started focusing on GOOD technology, like sustainable solutions to support our energy consumptive way of life. Solutions that hopefully we can keep out of the hands of controlling entities. NOT LIKE OIL
